Oogie hissed through his teeth and made a face.
“Well, not everythin’ but I’m hopin’ to make up for most of it. Gotta get their trust back” he explained. Since Jack had abandoned them, the morale of the people had been significantly low but he aimed to change that with his plans. “Sorta, yeah…my wife crowned me King again after she was made Queen herself. Kinda confusin’, I know.”

Tron immediately regretted asking. However, he was satisfied with the answer he got.

“Most of it. That’s good, at least,” he replied. Observing the dark and dreary atmosphere (he was beginning to grow a little more confident now, and his circuitry reflected this), he looked for something to point out or something to ask about in an attempt to change the subject.

Tron saw the tops of towers from a distance; he pointed to them and asked, “Is that the town up ahead?”

Oogie nodded, observing the stranger with an air of caution and curiosity. He was unlike anyone else he’d seen before and he noticed how the lights in his clothing got brighter as he spoke up.
Turning and looking at where he was pointing, Oogie agreed.
“Yes, that’s Halloween Town. Ain’t too far from here, now” he explained.

After Oogie confirmed where they were going, Tron took a closer look at their destination.

“It looks interesting,” he observed. “Nothing like I’ve ever seen before. Are all the buildings like that?” He gestured toward some of the taller and more crooked towers of the town. How did those buildings stay up like that? It was a weird phenomenon, especially as Tron had been used to only having myriads of rooms embedded in a sturdy canyon wall.

“I can’t wait to see the rest of it.”

((This fandom has a lot of ships. Seriously. I was going to try and list them all, but I don’t want to risk forgetting one and offending anyone. I’ll just tag the ones I know to get this message out, because my proposal is this.

I want to have a ship week. I have done them before for other fandoms, and I think that it would be really fun! The only difference is that it won’t be ship specific. Just the “Tron Fandom Ship Week” in which every day, you choose what ship you want to use with each day’s theme. Meaning that you can use the same ship - like your OTP - all week OR you can mix it up if you’re feeling bold or inspired by any one theme! I think that it would be really open and fun, and a fun way to bond because I want to know you all.

I am 100% willing to head it and make a “Tron Fandom Ship Week” sideblog to post all of the action with different tags for each ship so that you can track what you are interested in!

Now, if you are interested, would you PRETTY PLEASE reblog this post as text and add a Tron ship that exists, if not already reblogged and added, so that I can add them to the master list. I won’t figure out a week or make a blog for it unless I get enough support. Who’s with me?))

T (Age I get mistaken for) - it varies, because I’m shorter than average (I’m 5’1). I get mistaken anywhere from a middle-schooler to someone in her twenties because of the way I act. (I remember a kid thinking I was ten once!)

Look, I get it, okay? Sometimes you lose interest in an RP partner. Sometimes you get wrapped up in a certain plot or thread, and things fall by the wayside. But when you RP with someone a lot and tell them they’re a close friend, they start to believe you, and it hurts when you suddenly stop RPing with them or talking to them OOC. Friendship isn’t something you can just pick up and drop as it suits you, and if I’m really so disposable to you, we were never really friends.

It’s got loads of cities, including one they named after my… future self… it’s hard to explain.” He shrugged.

C.C. nodded and listened carefully, her eyes wide with wonder as she stared at him. “But, it’s a city at least.” She slowly processed the information, thinking of things to ask, but coming up short. “Goodness me, I’ve only ever read about this kind of stuff from users… what are cities like? Are there lots of people? Or, or, programs? Since people are users and programs are… us.” she pointed between herself and him.

“I wouldn’t be able to tell you,” Tron admitted. “Things are a lot different where I come from. The cities on the Grid are really big, and it’s jam-packed with Programs. Where I come from, the cities… they’re not as big. Or as… flashy.” His circuits muted at the thought. “And there’s a lot more room to move around back home. Here, I’ve learned that if I ever want time to myself, I have to go all the way to the outskirts, even the Outlands.”

Castor let Tron process all he told him. “Oh, the new grid? Tons, really. It’s still recovering from Clu’s fall, however…..oh, where to start….? Oh, first, the Games….nobody is forced to play in the Games anymore, but Programs volunteer. It is their life’s work and pride….” He paused…having haunting memories of the Games back during Clu’s reign, that affected both him and his brother…..who got the worst of it. Shaking out of it, he went back to speaking. “Oh, pardon me….there’s also the Sea of Simulation….Clu poisoned it many cycles ago to stop rebelling programs….there are rumors now that new creatures have adapted to its toxic waters……..but apart from that, Programs are trying to think of ways to de-toxify it….if that’s even possible.

“There is also the Outlands, uninhabited areas of the Grid that are mostly barren wasteland, and home to Gridbugs…ew…..Oh, but wild Bits live there too - aside from the ones that live in the cities, which we enjoy keeping as pets…

“And then there are the many cities…the one we’re in now is named for you, Tron.” He smiled. “So, this is Tron city, and there is also Arja city, and Argon city…along with many others.

“Not to mention, the cities are full of many places of interest. Such as my club, the End of Line,” he said, grinning big. “It’s at the top of the highest tower in Tron City!”

He ended there, hoping he didn’t overwhelm Tron too much with all the information.

“Hmmmm…” Tron patiently listened to everything Castor had said.

“So, let me get this straight,” he stated, before beginning, “Programs volunteer for the Games instead of being forced into it. “The Sea of Simulation is toxic, but things live in it anyway, like Gridbugs. The Outlands are also uninhabited, except for, again, Gridbugs and also Bits, but Programs keep them as pets. There are a lot of cities on the Grid, including one… named after me, and the… End of… Line… Club is the tallest building in Tron City.” Tron looked proud to have spit back this information. “Right?”

Castor nodded. “Just about. Except that Gridbugs aren’t what live in the Sea……monstrous creatures do….but nobody has ever gotten a good look at them. Some are claimed to be as small as Gridbugs, and others……a massive size. And as for the End of Line….it’s just the top of the building. The rest of the building consists of living quarters. But other than that…you got your information correct.” He grinned at Tron.

Tron was confused.

“If you’ve never gotten a good look at the monstrous creatures in the Sea of Simulation,” he pointed out, “how do you know they’re there?” He resisted the urge to go looking for these kinds of creatures, possibly to give himself something to do during his stay on the Grid, but he realized that maybe this wasn’t such a good idea.

“And the End of… it’s at the top of the tower,” he added. “And the rest of the building is living quarters. For Programs?” Of course, he only partly understood this. After all, the Programs where he came from lived in special living quarters as well, although they weren’t in buildings but in elevated parts of canyon walls. He wondered what kind of living quarters would fit more Programs in the end.

The Program smiled.

“Sure, I’ll be able to answer those for you. You’re in one of the central hubs of the Theta sector. In the ENCOM server, but I bet you already knew that, being a User.” The Program chuckled. “As for your friend…” The Program looked over his shoulder at where Lilith had gestured.

The ancient Security Program had once again checked the Energy container to see if any more liquid had magically conjured itself, but was once again disappointed to find that it was empty. He climbed on top of the Energy container once again, hoping that the amount of liquid would change because of the different perspective. However, the now empty container had held his weight for long enough and had been rattled long enough for it to suddenly topple over, taking the Program with it. Muttering something under his breath, the Security Program confirmed that the container was, indeed, empty, and he scurried off to see if there were any more containers around.

“… I wouldn’t know that for sure. It would depend on… what’s wrong with him. I know there are Programs specialized in disinfecting, if he’s got a virus or something… Looks to me like his memory needs some serious defragmenting, in my opinion. There are Programs for that, too, if you ask around…”

There was some noise in the distance (akin to containers rattling and female Programs screaming), and noticing this, Lilith’s guide added, “Although, at the moment, I’d be a little more concerned about keeping him under control.”

Lilith spun around to where the “Program” was just a moment earlier, but found only an empty container. “Oh shit, thanks for the information!” She quickly said to the guy, and ran off in the direction of the commotion.

It seemed as though the wayward Program had found himself something, whatever it was, to drink. Not wanting to gather the attention of the guards, Lilith grabbed the guys arm and practicality dragged him out of what seemed to be a bar; muttering a few “Sorry”, “Excuse me”, and “I got him under control now” to a few people as she exited. Things where starting to form together in her mind, and right now she needed less of this guy’s problems. Lilith couldn’t just leave him to fend for himself, seeing as something was obviously very wrong with him, so it seemed a good talking to was in order.

Finding a nice, secluded place to talk, she sat him down and stood over him. With a good grip on his shoulders, she looked him in the eyes; “Look I know you need help, and I’m going to help you get it. But you have to listen to me, and you can’t go running off. If you need something, tell me. Do you understand?” she said, shaking him a bit to get the point across.

Yes! He’d found another source of Energy. This one had more Programs trying to get at it, but he was the stronger of them, and he got past them easily, because he needed the Energy more than they did, right?

However, as the starved Program was gulping down several more gallons of Energy at a time, he felt that he was being grabbed again! He swatted at the intruder, but then he realized that it was Alan One again. Alan One, always looking out for him. That was a very funny joke, the User not being Alan One. Tron had almost believed it for a few moments.

Reluctantly, he obeyed his User and followed him to wherever it was that he wanted to go. Walking at a slow pace along the road gave him a chance to look at the scenery. It was very, very pretty, and Tron found himself looking in several different directions at various unfamiliar shiny objects in particular. It was all much, much better than that strange dark room he had become accustomed to…

Okay, now Alan One was talking to him. Tron tried to focus, but something else always caught his attention; he resisted the urge to run off again, though, because he knew Alan One wouldn’t like it.

But suddenly, he… he felt himself getting more Energy. His circuits grew brighter and brighter, and he felt warmer and warmer, not to mention a little more focused. The User’s appearance registered with him a little more. Alan One seemed like… a female? It didn’t make sense to Tron.

However, beggars couldn’t be choosers.

He nodded at the promise not to run away again, and he intended to follow through with that promise, because that was what good Programs did.

“Oh, well… no, actually,” Tron replied, giving her a friendly smile. “I’m just visiting, too.” Why was everyone assuming he was from the Grid…?

“Ah, ok! I’m used to only watching users talk, so this whole place is brand new to me!” She grinned and held out her hand “I understand this is a user custom, this shaking hands thing. I’m C.C., what’s your name?”

Tron grinned as she explained one of the techniques he had learned on his many visits to the World of the Users.

“It is,” he explained, happy to be on the ‘teaching’ end this time. “It takes some getting used to, but soon it’ll be second nature. I’m Tron.”

C.C. beamed, all too excited to meet a new person. “Tron, what a great name! I like it, very short and sweet! So what is this ‘grid’ place?” She looked about with wide eyes, trying to take in as much information as she could.
